Belgium Ypres Ieper/Ypres 2 Nights Special
The Soldier

Ieper 2 Nights Special

Attend a performance of a classic First World War play

This special trip has been planned to include seeing a performance of either that classic First World War play, Journey’s End by RC Sherriff, or The Soldier by Rachel Wagstaff, a play inspired by the life of Rupert Brooke. Both plays are being presented by the MESH Theatre Company for a limited season in October and November 2019.

The trip will also include visits to many of the famous memorials in the area, such as the Menin Gate, Vimy Ridge, and Tyne Cot Cemetery, which bring home the astonishing sacrifice of the soldiers of so many countries.

Learn About The Western Front and the Battle of Ypres

This itinerary is suitable for students whose studies are focusing on the First World War in general, and the Battles of Ypres in particular. This trip takes advantage of the plays being performed by The MESH Theatre Company in the autumn of 2019. If you are interested, we advise that you book early to ensure availability for these limited runs.

We know exactly what to include in your trip and your personal tour organiser can also help recommend new places of interest to create the right tour for you. We have our ready-made tours such as this one or we can create a personalised tour from scratch just for you, just let us know your requirements.
