A hidden gem in the alps
Around 50 years ago Chamrousse became well known when it hosted some of the events included in the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics! Since then the resort has continually been renovating its buildings and and modernising the lift system. Along with it’s fabulous downhill pistes, it also has 13 nordic ski trails !
Sometimes overlooked due to its much larger neighbours, Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes, beautiful Chamrousse is the perfect size for school groups! Boasting a very respectable 90km to explore and featuring its own beginner area, many of the runs here are below the treeline meaning beautiful scenery on those lower slopes. Up high, the ski area peaks with spectacular views at 2,250m. This altitude along with good snow making facilities mean you can be pretty confident in the snow coverage for the winter season.
“I have always used this company because of the quality of service they provide. I know that, when on the trip, they will be in contact to ensure a smooth trip for the pupils and always have our welfare at the centre of what they do.”
