On this trip, Students can explore the rich culture, ancient history, vast landscapes and take in some of the country’s most iconic attractions in Beijing and Xi’an.

China offers countless landmarks and a huge range of learning opportunities to choose from. Whatever the focus of your students, whether it be art, business studies, languages, geography a trip to China offers a unique back drop for a classroom, with educational rewards that are second to none.
10 DAY ITINERARY, IN DETAIL
Following an overnight flight, our English speaking guide will meet you at the airport and welcome you to Beijing.
You will transfer to your accommodation, en-route experiencing some of the delights of Beijing.
Welcome Introductions and evening meal at local restaurant.
After breakfast, transfer to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall and enjoy an incredible hike along the Great Wall itself.
Lunch will be served at a Local restaurant, then you will make the transfer to the sacred Ming Tombs site to see the intended final resting place of the Ming Dynasty Emperors.
They’ll be free time and dinner served at a Local restaurant.
Enjoy a day exploring Beijing, visit Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Visit a local family in a courtyard house and learn the art of fan painting from a local host. Take a stroll around the Hutong area to see the Bell tower and discover more about the traditional Beijing lifestyle.
In the evening try the local delicacies that the world famous Wangfujin food market has to offer.
In the morning enjoy a tour of The Summer Palace, China’s largest and best-preserved royal park.
In the afternoon, visit the Birds-nest and the Olympic village at Beijing’s 2008 Olympic park in the afternoon.
In the evening you have an optional choice to take in an acrobatic or kungfu.
Visit a local school, and take part in cultural exchange.
This is an excellent opportunity to engage with local students, which will help students to widen their perspectives and gain an appreciation of China’s culture.
After school, they’ll be time for some souvenir shopping at Pearl Market, then on for dinner before catching the overnight train to Xi’an.
Arrive in Xi’an, transfer to accommodation.
Today you’ll cycle on the city’s ancient walls (China’s most complete ancient city wall). Visit the Bell tower and drum tower and Xian’s world-famous Muslim Quarter.
In the evening enjoy a traditional puppet show at Gao’s courtyard house followed by dinner.
Relish in a day trip to see the Terracotta warriors- one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th Century.
In the evening, enjoy a dumpling banquet and a dumpling-making lesson.
A relaxed morning for free time or optional Tai Chi class.
In the afternoon visit Big Goose Pagoda Temple and painting demonstration.
After dinner, take the overnight train to Beijing.
Arrive in Beijing and enjoy some free time and last minute shopping before your return flight home.
